life drawing

So the semester has finally drawn to a close, and I am feeling pretty good about it. I like what I'm doing in school, but a break is definitely appreciated.

The following images are some life drawings from my drawing class. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. They are all of the same woman, even though she looks different in each image. Capturing a likeness is a pretty difficult thing to do (for me at least), and overall I think I'm making strides in my portraiture.

Ink Splatters

Sometimes when I don't really have anything that wants to come out (creatively that is), I like to splatter some ink down on the page and see what comes to me. I was feeling that way yesterday. I had worked on a more polished image, and my creativity was running low, but I still had an itch to draw...So out comes the ink, and splat!

Some of these got cropped funny, it's because my scanner is too small.

Oh an on another note, my instructor emailed me back my mark on the test...38/40!

Science class in Art School

So I just got finished my first midterm of the year, and I must say I'm feeling alright about it. It's one of those things where you wont really know how you actually did, until you get the test back. Over all there weren't too many questions that I really had to think about, most of them seemed to have an answer that seemed pretty logical to me...heh, I guess thats the point.

Oh well.

Here's some more art.
